Is auto loading a must have? A used Remington 1100 or one of its variants would serve you well. Did you know that a skilled operator can shot a pump gun faster than any autoloader?

There-in lies a problem. Felt recoil has a lot to do with the fit of the stock.

Generally speaking, men and women cannot shoot the same guns because the stocks are not anywhere near a universal fit.

My wife is 5'-7" and a youth model 20 gauge Remington 870 fits her very well and she shoots it well. I have tried shooting her gun and I can't hit squat with it.

She can't hit anything with my full size 870 or my vintage Winchester Model 12 and they kick the crap out of her.

You need a "Ken" gun and a "Barbie" gun.

I have seen several films of the current Remington exhibition shooter.... just can't recall his name at the moment.

Anywho, he can toss a stack of five clays into the air and bust them all with a Remington 1100 before they hit the ground.

When he does the same routine with a 870 he can bust seven.

Also consider Edward ('Ed') McGivern who could fire 6 shots from a S&W .38 in 3/5ths of a second. There is NO autoloading pistol that can match that speed.

There are some interesting programs on the History Channel on these guys.
