The family and some friends and I went to see Dennis Reis this weekend in Huntsville, AL. My oldest daughter and I are caring for 7 horses for our neighbors and we took here to see the horse training clinic for her birthday. We really enjoyed the clinic and learned a thing or two as well. We are already applying some of the things we learned and are very surprised at how the horses respond.

If you are interested in horses and training them; I recommend going to see the clinic. Wrangler currently is sponsoring Dennis Reis and if you buy a pair of Wrangler jeans; you get 2 free tickets to a clinic.

At the end of the horse training clinic; they put on a real nice riding exhibition show demonstrating jumping their horses using no bridles and no hands as well as many other tasks. If anyone else is interested below is a link to the Reis Ranch website.

Did he use long 'crops' to ride without bridles?

This was about 4 years ago but I believe he rode with his fiberglass guide rods and no reins.
