Didn't JD and Bombardier announce a strategic partnership maybe 6-9 mos ago to develop new types of recreational and utility vehicles? So, has anyone heard of any developments?

I've been curious about this since the announcement. There's a Bombardier dealer right next to my local JD dealer. A month or so ago I asked both dealerships if they knew anything about new products coming out of this arrangement and neither one knew of anything.

I would be surprised to see Bombardier form a partnership like that, they already have a huge dealer network and with the addition of Evinrude it got even bigger.

I could see JD trying to make a deal to buy their drivetrain from Bombarier though, and I know mJD are spending some R&D money to develop some new specialty vehicles for the utility market.

As I suspected, JD is shipping green paint & stickers to Quebec, Bombardier is shipping it's units in green camoflage dress to JD's marketing machine for distribution.

At least JD cutomers will have an excellent product to ride.

Based on what they 'show and tell' so far they are colour (green) photocopies of the existing Bombi line-up, they are outstanding machines.

It will be interesting however to see just how much that green paint job will cost compared to buying a Bombi from one of their dealers.
