Love fishing Lake Ontario!
One of the things I have enjoyed most in my life is fishing. My first "big" fish was snagged in the Lake of the Isles in the St. Lawrence. A 26" Northern that was quite the prize for a kid.
In the past thirty years, trout and salmon have been plentiful in my area thanks to DEC stocking. I can think of nothing more relaxing or better for today's youth than to engage in fishing and hunting, and to leave the video game box at home.
When I die, I hope there is a lake and an old wooden boat for me to use to go fishing!

I feel the same way about Sante Cooper in South Carolina and the rivers in the area as you do about the lake of the Isles. I have never seen a child that did not take to fishing or just being in a boat.
I once caugh a Large mouth bass in Lake Moultrie so big that it lower the lake level in your lake way up there.
