The Del Norte Gun Club has opened a new facility near my house. I went out there last weekend to take a look. I was really impressed. They have a website that will come up if you Google "Del Norte Gun Club."

They have hundreds of shooting positions. For rifle, they have ranges at 25, 50,100, 200 and 300 that you just drive up to and shoot. There is also a long range set up for 1000, 800, 600, 400, 300, and so forth with a pit at the target berm.

For pistol, there are ranges for Bullseye, gongs, as well as CQB tactical shooting and an automatic weapon pit that is 50 X 50.

They also support trap, sporting clays, Western action shooting, and more. The facility is more than 700 acres.

If you live in central or northern New Mexico you should check it out. Of course, the Whittington Center is in northern NM also, but it is on the other side of the state about three or four hours drive from DNGC.
