Shell Dram Question
I was given some advice from someone at my Trap Range the other day, and wanted to get all of your opinions, I shoot 12 gauge 2 3/4 Winchester 3 Dram 8 shot at the 16 yard thru to the 21 yard line then switch to 3 dram 7 1/2 shot from the 22 yard line on back.I shoot pretty consistent 22-25's at the 16 and the best at 24 yards was 18.
The Gentleman at the Range told me to start using 2 3/4 dram 8 shot shells from the 16 yard to 21 yard then switch to 3 dram 7 1/2 shoot from there on back. he said the reason for this is that I would not have to lead the clay any diff being further back because of the shell's faster speed. He said I would lead the same as if i was on the 16 yard line even though I would be back on the 24.
What do you guys think or is this some thing you all do?
Thanks in advance
Rog
