Okay. I'm gonna try again, because I don't think Archdean will get mad.
Are the controls:
Red handle = Throttle (motor RPM)
Black Handle = Range (Low, Mid, High, Reverse)
Peddles = Brake/Hydro control
This is a question, asked because I don't know and would like to. No offence to anyone intended.

First thanks for looking and why would anyone get mad?? Not me that's for sure!
Red Handle (lever) : puts it in 2 or 4 wheel drive!
Black Handel (lever) : selects the speed ranges Low/medium/High + reverse
Throttle: a misnomer (actually a hydraulic actuator that is on the floor like a gas peddle next to the standard break peddle!
I will answer any question to the best of my ability!!

Foot petal control just like a gas petal. Transmission has three ranges or speeds. The ranges are like gears in an automatic transmission and of coarse yo can't always make it to the top of the hill in high gear! Worst part of it is you are supposed to be able to pre-judge the hill and manually stop and put it in the appropriate range, gear unlike a total automatic and then tackle the hill.

Dean,
I still think, even over here, green paint on body and some yellow on wheels will really help set you improvements off.
You think you might get the heads-up display going anytime soon. Would be neat to be able to drive around an watch movies at the same time. Don't you think?

So the RTV doesn't have a throttle like the tractors do?

Correct. The throttle and the HST linkage are tied together and engage in tandem.
You don't really get a sense of what is going on until you watch what your pedal input does between the speedometer and a tachometer.
Only one of the four models has a Speedo and none come with a Tach. It's a shame. You can't teach yourself to drive it properly without instruments.
I'll bet next weeks pay that Kubota pays more for performance oriented warrant claims than it would cost to put proper instruments in the machine to start with.
Maybe they are listening.

Has anyone ever tried the Bobcat "RTV"? They have a couple of them on campus with Curtis cabs and front sweepers.
