 Remington air rifle

Picked up that pellet rifle a couple of weeks ago. Bought the Gamo with scope, laser sight and spotlight for $200 (was a display model). I have never seen anything like it. The thing resembles firing a 22 without the noise. Have not killed any vermin yet as I seem to have gotten rid them for the time being, but that will change sooner or later.

I have owned a Sheridan 5mm pellet air rifle that has proven very accurate and reliable for many years. Not quite as loud as a .22 and nearly as much power and accuracy. For top of the line accuracy and and quality, you might want to take a look a Wierauch pellet rifles. I have a Wierauch HW 80 that is unbelievably accurate and will easily put a pellet through both sides of a steel 5 gallon pale. VERY good quality and workmanship but they are NOT cheap.

Oh swell! Now you've done it Randy.

I was perfectly happy.....never even heard of Weihrauch air rifles......

Ho-Hum might as well check out the web page......Holy Cow, they make a 25 caliber with a gas piston spring that flings those big pellets at almost 800 FPS.

Jeez..........

Thanks Chief, I did look into the high-end rifles but could not justify a thousand dollars for one at this time. I have read on some of the "survivalist" sites that they believe that weapon will be something they need when the "end" arrives. Who knows.

Thought you guys might be interested in a not normally mentioned pellet rifle. Yeah, they are pretty expensive. I purchased mine about 20 years ago from one of the Army Rod & Gun clubs when I was stationed in Germany. I have a scope mounted on mine. The first time I fired it, the recoil was much more than I expected and the scope cut my eye browe pretty good. It is not a pellet rifle for just stinging a pesky dog or animal to scare them away. These pellet rifles deliver nearly what a 22 LR will. Sorry about the spelling. Only on my second cup of coffe this morning. :o)
