You can Urinate around your property and that will keep them away as well. I have done so around my Turkey and Chicken Coops, no problems, yet they come right up to the back of the house. I live in the sticks so I ain't being a Public Exhibitionist or whatever, but an Old Timer told me that and I have done it and it works.

I also have Alaskan Malamutes and they hate Coyotes too. Wolves will NOT breed with Coyotes, they have had millions of years to do. Seperate DNA entirely. Maybe on a rear RARE occassin it may happen. Wolves are PACK Hunters and Coyotes are just killers. The TWO States with the Largest WOLF Populations also have the Largest and Healthiest Deer Populations, they are Wisconsin and Minnesota. Wolves are good for the Envirmoment, Coyotes destroy the balance.

They have a Nose Brain that can detect ONE part Urine in 6 billion parts Water. So DON"T bring Coffee, wear deordarants or After Shave or clothing that has had Fabric Softener or scented soaps. Stay Natural as you can and you will get closer and see them better. They won't see you first, they willprobably SMELL you long before you come into their view.

Thanks for the information Wingwiper. The dogs are no longer walked around the block, they are restricted to their own place now due to a recent incident whereby they killed my neighbors cat in my back yard.

I may need to take up the slack
