Turkey Vulture Nuisance
I have a half dozen or more Turkey Vultures that like to hang out and crap on my roof. I am looking for ways to discourage them. I guess I could frighten them and then shoot them with my shotgun after they are off the roof.
Really not keen on killing them and would rather try other non lethal approaches. I was thinking that perhaps I could annoy them with an air soft rifle with plastic bbs to hit them while on the roof, don't have an air soft rifle, are they pretty accurate at say 150 feet shooting up to the roof 30 + feet in the air? any recommendations?

Depending upon State laws and ethics. Are Turkey Vultures protected? In Michigan it is allowable to shoot some preditors if they are causing property damage on personal property out of season.
Roadkill placed at a pre-selected location next to a pre-dug hole works.

Another non-lethal method would be a vinegar/water solution, soap suds, perfumed water or something undesirable fired from a large squirt gun.

The roof is too high and too steep to get up there 
My wife suggested high frequency sound ?
They used to roost for years at another house, and I used to feel sorry for the guy, he had a beautiful home that looked like crap with all the white droppings and feathers, these are really big birds.
Now it is my turn.

Did you consider putting some kind of a rubber point on an arrow and shooting the birds with that? You don't need a permit to shoot bow and arrow. Although I imagine if you hit him hard enough with a rubber-pointed arrow you could still kill him.

I have hit foxes and coyotes hard enough with a blunt arrow to kill them. They would easily work on a vulture. If you already do archery, then this would surely work. If you don't do archery, this is a hard target to start on because of the launch angle.
I think that you could also poison them with varmint poison on some bait. I guess the problem with poison would be that they might go somewhere else to die and poison something else.
I had a problem with pack-rats a while back and eradicated them with an electric trap that I built with a neon sign transformer. This should work with vultures also.
These are nasty stinky birds, so they are a mess to deal with if you kill them.
As far as Airsoft is concerned, I think that they are accurate to about 10 yards. The pellets tend to curve off trajectory after that. I think that it would be difficult to hit reliably at 50 yds. I use Airsoft for close in training. They do make longer range rifles that might work, but I don't have any experience with them.
On industrial buildings they install little wire spikes on flat areas and crests to keep pigeons from roosting. Those are available at some electrical supply places because the cell phone people use them on their equipment.

How about using a BB gun rifle, would that lose its trajectory shooting from 100+ feet up to a height of 30 feet on the roof?

Any time you aim at a high elevation angle or down a steep slope the projectile does not drop as much as it does when shooting on a level surface. Your shots tend to hit high if your gun is sighted in at a particular distance.
Slow velocity guns and archery equipment make that problem worse. The good news is that the drop is consistent if you are shooting from a similar point and angle, so if you get the BB gun sighted in and hitting when shooting at the high angle it will be somewhat accurate at 50 yds. A rifled pellet gun will do better than a BB gun.
I think that you are going to have to do more than make noise. Eventually if you don't hit the birds, even if it is just an annoying "whack", then they won't respond.
